These pinhole photographs of grasses in flower were made during a period of experimentation with pinhole photography. The sharp focus of modern digital lenses did not suit these graceful grasses blowing in the wind and using pinhole techniques incorporated the integral softness and blur of the movement. I was amazed at how much detail was captured without a conventional lens and the images needed very little post processing. The flowers on the grasses are easy to overlook when walking past but can be seen clearly in these images.
Images shot with a Nikon D200 and a custom made pinhole lens fitted into a Nikon bodycap.
